Submission Preparation Checklist
All submissions must meet the following requirements.
- This submission meets the requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines.
- This submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration.
- All references have been checked for accuracy and completeness.
- All tables and figures have been numbered and labeled.
- Permission has been obtained to publish all photos, datasets and other material provided with this submission.

Publication Ethics
The journal maintains high standards of publication ethics and integrity.
- Authorship: Only individuals who made substantive contributions to the research should be listed as authors. Guest, ghost, or honorary authorships are not allowed.
- Plagiarism: All submissions undergo plagiarism checks. Plagiarism in any form is not tolerated.
- Conflict of Interest: Authors, reviewers, and editors must disclose any potential conflicts of interest.
- Data Integrity: Authors must maintain accurate records of data and provide access to the data upon reasonable request. Misrepresentation or fabrication of data is strictly prohibited.
Ethical Standards:
- Research Integrity: All submitted research must meet the highest ethical standards. Authors must ensure the accuracy and integrity of their data, and all experiments must be conducted in compliance with ethical guidelines.
- Conflict of Interest: All potential conflicts of interest, including financial relationships, intellectual property, and funding sources, must be declared by authors, reviewers, and editors.
- Data Availability: Authors are required to submit a data availability statement, specifying how the research data can be accessed or shared. Open data practices are strongly encouraged to enhance research transparency.
- Plagiarism and Misconduct: Manuscripts are checked for plagiarism and other forms of academic misconduct. Any detected issues will result in the manuscript’s rejection and notification to the authors' institutions.
Open Access Policy:
- Fully Open Access: The journal follows an open-access publishing model, ensuring that all published content is freely accessible worldwide, providing maximum visibility and impact for the research.
- Licensing: All articles are published under a Creative Commons Attribution License (CC BY), allowing free distribution, adaptation, and reuse of the work, provided proper attribution is given to the original authors.
- Article Processing Charges (APC): To support the open-access model, an APC is charged upon acceptance of the manuscript. Discounts and waivers are available for authors from low-income countries or early-career researchers. Authors in Nigeria will pay ₦ 40,000 while foreign authors will pay US$ 50. Authors from low-income countries can request waivers and discounts, subject to the discretion of the journal advisory board.
Data and Supplementary Material Policy:
- Data Transparency: Authors are encouraged to submit their datasets to publicly accessible repositories and include a link to the repository in their manuscript. This ensures transparency and promotes reproducibility.
- Supplementary Material: Authors can submit additional figures, tables, videos, or raw data as supplementary material. This material will be made available online alongside the published article.
- Data Citation: Authors must cite datasets in their references, treating data as a valuable research output.
Editorial Board:
- Global Editorial Team: The editorial board consists of world-renowned experts in Applied Physics, Materials Science, and Nanotechnology. Board members are selected from diverse geographical regions and research specializations to ensure a broad, inclusive review process.
- Industry Advisors: In addition to academic experts, the journal has a dedicated group of industry advisors who provide insights on the applicability and commercial potential of submitted research.
- Guest Editors for Special Issues: The journal regularly appoints guest editors for thematic special issues that focus on emerging topics in the field. Authors are encouraged to propose special issue topics for consideration.
